From the Driver's Seat

Ray Black, Jr. Quotes... On looking forward to Martinsville:"I'm ready to get back to Martinsville Speedway this weekend.  It will be nice to get back to a track where I already have experience, and have already raced at in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  Martinsville is such a fun track; it has it's own personality.  Clearly there's not a lot of room, so as a driver, you just have to use your head and exercise patience all afternoon.  In that aspect, it's a lot like scuba diving!  Our ScubaLife Chevrolet team at SS Green Light Racing has been preparing for this event for a while now, so I'm sure we'll have a good truck.  If we can keep all the fenders on it, we should be in contention for another strong finish."

Looking back at Atlanta:

"The race at Atlanta Motor Speedway was a great learning experience for our ScubaLife Chevrolet team.  It was the first race this season where handling really came into play.  While our truck was a bit off early in the race, Jason [Miller, crew chief] and I were able to talk it through and make some great changes.  We had raced up into the top 15, and likely would have been able to finish there.  However, we had a late-race power steering failure that dropped us back to 25th.  As much as you hate to see that happen, it helped me learn how the truck reacts in a situation like that and there can be benefit to that.  It was a fun race, and it has me looking forward to all the similar intermediate tracks later this year."
